Breathing Treatments

There are so many ways that Levi reminds me of Chloe.  Now we can add breathing treatments to the list.  Chloe started at 15 months and outgrew the need for them when she was 3.  So last week when I heard Levi wheezing and watched his little belly sucking in drastically when he tried to breathe, I knew what we were up against.  Sure enough, a trip to the doctor confirmed RAD (reactive airway disease).  Knowing he would most likely be given a breathing treatment at the doctor’s office I brought Thomas books and Monster Truck books.  So Levi did great for his first treatment and soon figured out that he got to watch 15 minutes of a movie when doing them at home (Chloe and Luke caught on to this too!).  He also liked being able to pick which mask he’d use (fishy was the favorite).   We continued the treatments for about 5 days and are hoping not to have to repeat too often, but only time will tell.  I pulled up some pictures of Chloe doing the breathing treatments too, just for fun.

Grandma Jan - I have heard of moms fighting with kids to do that, both yours have really taken it in stride, am so thankful for good drs and good mommies so these kids can breathe easy and be healthy.
