Today our little man turned 2. He has learned a lot in the past few months. He repeats everything we say and strings together several words into phrases to get his point across to us. He giggles all the time and is quite silly. He loves to snuggle, loves his routines, loves his brother and sister, loves to be read to, loves to play outside. He keeps us on our toes and makes sure that none of us sleep in past 6:30 on any given morning. It is a joy to watch him grow and learn and watch as he understands new concepts and learns new tricks. We love this little guy and are so thankful to God that he is a part of our family.

Because things have been a bit chaotic lately we were a bit behind getting Chloe’s 6 year and Luke’s 4 year pictures taken. Levi’s 2nd birthday is this weekend so I just went ahead and scheduled them all to have their pictures taken. We tried to get a group shot of the three kids together but, well, you can take a look at the slideshow on this link and see how that went! Family Vacation 2010

It’s been a crazy month in our house. After closing on the sale of our old house and then living with Nathan’s parents for a few weeks we finally closed on our new house and moved in. Three days later we left for our family vacation with all of my (Janna’s) family in Michigan for a week (10 adults, 12 kids 8 yrs. old and under, 3 babysitters). We got back a week ago and I’m finally attempting to catch up on some pictures and posts. So I’ll start with a slideshow from our family vacation and then catch up with several other events from the last many weeks. Here are some of the highlights of our family during our vacation in Michigan.

Puddles

After it had been raining for a while and then the rain had stopped, Levi went outside, promptly found the largest puddle he could, sat down and played in it.

Grandma Jan visits

A few weeks ago Grandma Jan came for a visit. The kids (and us) always look forward to her visits. Unfortunately it was cold and rainy and, because of our impending move, most of our toys, etc. were already packed. We managed to find enough to do to keep busy and have fun together. We did a lot of coloring and reading books, went out for breakfast one day and ice-cream the next, and played at the Y.

Hello….Goodbye

10 years ago this summer Nathan and I purchased our first home. It was a great home for us and we have many happy memories there. Add to the picture three children and things start feeling a little cramped. So for the past year we’ve been looking for a new home. L…O…N…G…. story short, we finally have found our new home. We aren’t moving far but will have more space to spread out just a bit. We will miss our home and neighborhood and especially our incredibly wonderful neighbors, but are looking forward to what is ahead as well.

Mowing

A few weeks ago Nathan was mowing the lawn. Levi woke up from his nap, climbed up on the couch and watched him (out the window) for at least half an hour. He waved and waved saying ‘hi daddy!’ but never was able to catch Nathan’s attention. It was so cute!

Easter in Charlotte: Outside Fun
