Luke has recently shown interest in sitting up and is starting to reach out for toys more and more. So we got our exersaucer out of the closet to give him a try in it. He thought it was a lot of fun. He still hasn’t figured out all it has to offer and doesn’t have the hang of turning himself around in it, but he’s got plenty of time for all that.
A few weeks back I picked up a kite for $1.00 at Walmart thinking it might be fun…. and fun it was! Yesterday we took the kids to the church parking lot (where it always seems to be windy) and taught Chloe about flying a kite. She thought it was lots of fun (though Mommy may have enjoyed it more than her!). She especially liked holding the string and running with it.

That looks like a lot of fun!
Beautiful pics!
I think you both look like you are having a blast. Fabulous pics.
I use to love flying kites with my boys when they were small. The pictures are priceless.
Thomas the Tank Engine comes to Lebanon a few times each year. Children can take a ride on his train and there are several other activities to do nearby those days as well. Although Chloe really doesn’t know who Thomas is (other than being able to identify him….she’s never seen his shows/movies) we thought we’d head down to see what we could find to amuse ourselves. Besides seeing Thomas and about all the Thomas paraphernalia you could imagine, Chloe got her first tattoo, went through her first maze made of hay, and got to sit in a fire engine. She also really liked the petting zoo and the stamping station. Luke really didn’t see what all the excitement was about and thus declined all picture opportunities.

What a fun day!! She looks like she is having a ball.
Sounds like a fun day. Chole looks cool in her sun glasses. You can tell she injoyed here day from the big smiles in the photos.
It was nice seeing you there! Chloe, you look like you had a fabulous time!
A tattoo? Sounds like Aunt Dawn’s kind of girl! I guess when I get back I’ll have to teach her to smoke a cigar.
I see now who is in the driver’s seat of your family!

We spent this evening over at Nathan’s parents’ house. They grilled out hamburgers and hot dogs for dinner and Nathan’s grandma Ollie made her yummy Texas sheet cake too. Here’s a picture of the kids snuggling with their Grandma Coates (the photo is courtesy of Nathan’s dad).

What a little helper!!!
That’s the new bed I was telling you about
Maybe Chloe inherited her Great-Grandfather’s green thumb.
That is too cute! I can’t believe that Chloe plants those shrubs. Nathan better get to work.
Glad to see that you are breaking Chloe into yard work early. It is a very important skill to develop in your children
